Thumbless Sue Kraft Inc. Over Mac & Cheese Boxes

Thumbless Sue Kraft Inc. Over Mac & Cheese Boxes
In response to the lawsuit, Kraft has released new versions of its popular dish, including boxes for hitchhikers, the thumbless and people with two left thumbs.

NORTHFIELD, Ill. (CAP) - America's thumbless population has joined together in a class action suit against Kraft Foods Inc., claiming that the boxes for the company's popular Mac & Cheese product are discriminatory.

"Life without thumbs is difficult enough without having to forgo the delicious cheesiness of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese," said Cary Bernstein of the firm Schneider Wallace Cottrell Brayton Konecky, who is representing America's thumbless. "But apparently the powers that be at Kraft only care about the thumbed."

Opening a box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese requires the insertion of a thumb, either left or right, into a perforated tab, at which point the top panel of the box can be removed.

"Sometimes I spend hours just staring at that tab, thinking of the cheesiness," said Doreen Ball, a thumbless woman from Freehold, N.J. taking part in the suit.

Bernstein, who collected millions for clients in a class action lawsuit that claimed New Year's Rockin' Eve was not actually rockin', said he has high hopes for his current clients as well. "And if this goes well, we may sue America's doorknob manufacturers too," he added.

Mama June Wedding Devalues All Marriages
Mama June Wedding Devalues All Marriages

WASHINGTON (CAP) - A new study out of the Pew Research Center finds that the wedding of Honey Boo Boo's mother June Shannon to longtime boyfriend Mike Thompson has devalued all marriages to the point where people are ashamed to admit they share the same connubial status as the reality show couple.

"People have been watching the train wreck that is Mama June and Sugar Bear since Honey Boo Boo's Toddlers & Tiaras days and - Oh my God, I can't believe I just said that sentence with a straight face," said Pew spokesman Dr. Francis Spitznagel.

"The bottom line is that 87% of the couples we surveyed wanted to immediately annul their marriages just to ensure they had nothing in common with those two wastoids," Spitznagel added. "The other 13% thought we were talking about a new Yogi Bear movie."

WASHINGTON (CAP) - Once attainable only by prescription or on the black market through Canadian pharmacies, the so-called 'Morning After' lollipop will soon be available over the counter thanks to a federal court's ruling.

"As the age of children having sex continues to drop, we're getting to the point where they aren't even old enough to be able to swallow a pill," U.S. District Court Judge Edward Korman wrote in his decision.

"It's time our medications keep pace with our society," he added.
